Spaghetti dishes – get full on less calories

One of the ways I keep my spaghetti dishes lower calorie and lower fat, is by making my own sauce. I chop up tons of bell peppers and onions, sometimes saute them, add garlic, pepper and salt, basil and any other favorite italian spices. Then I add the organic tomato paste and water, or tomato sauce. This way I become full much faster on all those vegetables in my spaghetti sauce, and tend to eat much less pasta and meatballs!

I usually use gluten free quinoa or rice noodles. And, lean ground turkey meat for making the meat balls, which I drain from the oil before adding them into the sauce or dinner plate.

I’d love hear about your favorite spaghetti dish recipe!
